Mary Coleman is dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Lesley University in Boston. She received her B.A. from Jackson State University, and her M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Dr. Coleman is a Woodrow Wilson International Scholar, the recipient of numerous national teaching awards, and has participated in scores of humanities seminars in the United States and abroad. She has received research awards from the National Science Foundation, and served on United Nations teams in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
