The Clay Center is an educational and informational outlet only, and so we do not provide clinical services or referrals for treatment. However, many of our partners here at MGH do.

Naturally, one of our biggest partners related to child and adolescent health is the MassGeneral Hospital for Children (MGHfC), which provides treatment and services for children of all ages in virtually every specialty and subspecialty of medicine and surgery, as well as preventive and primary care.

Dr. Gene Beresin and Dr. Steve Schlozman recently produced two short videos for MGHfC with mental health considerations for parents and other caregivers, during their children’s inpatient and outpatient visits.

View Dr. Beresin’s video on Outpatient Pediatric Visits.

There’s so much to think about when bringing your child in for any kind of medical appointment, that mental health can often be overlooked amidst the chaos of other concerns. We hope these videos will help you to be aware of behavioral, emotional and mental health within the context of other concerns, as part of addressing the overall health and well-being of young people.
